I’ve worked in politics and public affairs for over 35 years.

In 2023, after over 20 years working in Washington, D.C., I moved to East Tennessee. I moved from Democrat Jamie Raskin’s district to Republican Tim Burchett’s. It’s different but in ways that surprised me.

I’ll tell you all about it—the good, the bad, and the deplorable. I’ll also share my thoughts and analysis of politics in the semi-rural (pseudo-suburban) South.
